SCHOOL PROGRAMSAs an artist, I recognize the significance of contributing to the community whenever possible. However, as a First Nations artist, I strongly believe in the importance of imparting authentic knowledge and experiences to the youth of today. This is crucial for fostering genuine reconciliation between the Indigenous (Onkwehón:we) and non-indigenous communities of Turtle Island. Since 2014, I have collaborated with YRDSB to bring art, cultural learning, social issues, and traditional oral stories into the classroom. Through these initiatives, I aim to bridge the gap between different cultures and promote understanding and respect. In addition to my community work, I have also had the privilege of teaching more advanced high school programs that focus on the classical European methods of oil painting. By incorporating diverse artistic techniques, I strive to provide a well-rounded education that encompasses various artistic traditions and perspectives. Please click for detailed School Programs
