This selection of images may seem a little strange, but they are what I call "just varnished". The last part of the process is the application of varnish, a wet layer that is clear and enhances the very subtle colors of a painting while bringing out the darker tones. In my mind, this is the stage at which the painting is at it's most beautiful, where hidden treasures are revealed.
Note that the white dots in some of the photos are the reflections of the wet varnish.
